During his conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his residence in Florida, Trump noted that the United States has serious concerns about the potential escalation of Iranian military capabilities. “If they really try to increase their forces again, we will have to act. We are ready for this. But I hope it doesn’t happen,” the president expressed his position.
He also added that if Iran activates its military program, the U.S. “will leave no choice,” and the consequences could be “very serious,” possibly even more so than in previous instances.
Recall that on the night of June 22, 2025, the United States struck key Iranian nuclear facilities, including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. After that, Trump stated that Tehran's nuclear capabilities had been “absolutely and completely destroyed.” However, experts cannot accurately assess the extent to which this is true, and how quickly Iran will be able to restore its nuclear program. According to Western media, the strikes only delayed Iranian developments by several months, and Tehran managed to hide and relocate most of its enriched uranium stocks. Nevertheless, Iran claims that it no longer conducts uranium enrichment at any of its facilities.
