Kazakhstan became the first nation to sign the "Abraham Accords" during Donald Trump's second presidential term, as Trump himself reported following a phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Trump noted on his Truth Social page: "Kazakhstan is the first country to join the 'Abraham Accords' in my second term, and this is just the beginning. This is a significant step towards establishing diplomatic relations worldwide."

The U.S. President also added that many other countries are showing interest in signing the "Abraham Accords," which, according to him, lead to "peace and prosperity." He mentioned an upcoming announcement of a signing ceremony and expressed confidence that many countries want to be part of this "club of power."

Tokayev, for his part, noted that Trump's achievements were impressive and seemed unattainable to many, creating conditions for sustainable peace in the Middle East.
"By joining the 'Abraham Accords,' Kazakhstan aims to promote conflict resolution, enhance dialogue, and support international law in accordance with the UN Charter. This decision will not affect our country's bilateral commitments and is a logical continuation of multilateral diplomacy aimed at peace and security," the official statement said.

The "Abraham Accords" were signed in 2020 between Israel, the UAE, Bahrain, and Morocco with U.S. support to establish diplomatic relations between the Jewish state and Arab countries. Sudan became part of the accords in 2021, followed by Egypt. Jordan did not become part of this initiative.

The name of these accords is associated with Abraham, who is considered the ancestor of both Jews and various Arab tribes, and who is first referred to as a Jew in the Bible.
