As it became known recently, the United States of America conducted tests of a nuclear bomb back in August of this year. This was reported by DW.
The tests took place at the Tonopah Test Range in Nevada, where an F-35 fighter dropped nuclear munitions B61-12 without a warhead. The Sandia Laboratory, which is under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of Energy, reported that the tests were conducted from August 19 to 21 as part of the annual reliability assessment of the nuclear arsenal and pilot training. In 2024, the service life of the B61-12 bombs was extended by 20 years.

U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed in a conversation with journalists his intention to resume nuclear weapons testing in the near future.

At the same time, Trump emphasized the necessity of denuclearization and expressed a desire to hold a meeting with the leadership of Russia and China on this issue.

Denuclearization is a process aimed at reducing or completely eliminating nuclear weapons both at the level of individual countries and on a global scale. This includes both the reduction of the number of nuclear warheads and a complete renunciation of the nuclear arsenal.
