According to information published by NBC News, Israeli officials are expressing serious concern about Iran's ballistic missile program. They intend to discuss potential options for a new strike against Iran with U.S. President Donald Trump. A source familiar with Tel Aviv's plans, as well as four former American officials, confirmed this information.

Israel is also worried about Iran's restoration of uranium enrichment facilities that were destroyed during U.S. bombings in June. However, a more immediate threat to Israel appears to be the restoration of ballistic missile production infrastructure and the repair of damaged air defense systems.

The meeting between U.S. President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to take place at the end of December at Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida. According to NBC News sources, Netanyahu plans to convince Trump that the Iranian missile program poses a serious threat that requires immediate action.

In his arguments, the Israeli Prime Minister will refer to the fact that Iran's actions threaten not only Israel but also U.S. interests in the region. Netanyahu also intends to offer Trump options for Washington's involvement or support in the event of new military operations.

Earlier this week, Trump, in response to reporters' questions about a possible meeting with Netanyahu, stated that nothing has been officially scheduled yet, although the Israeli Prime Minister has expressed a desire to hold such a meeting. Nevertheless, Israeli officials confirmed that the meeting is planned for December 29.
