Situation in the Middle East

• Following the death of Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, the management of the country has temporarily passed to a council that includes President Masoud Pezeshkian, the head of the judiciary, and a representative of the Guardian Council of the Constitution. The death of the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the secretary of the Defense Council has also been confirmed.
