According to the police operational headquarters, information about the meteorite falls was received from Koblenz and the surrounding areas of the Hunsrück and Eifel mountain ranges located in Rhineland-Palatinate.
According to the police report, fragments of a "burnt celestial body" fell on the roof of a residential building in the Güls district of Koblenz. Fortunately, no one was injured. Firefighters and police arrived at the scene and confirmed that there was no longer any threat, reports the dpa agency.
