In the Osh region, operatives detained investigators from the Internal Affairs Department of the Kara-Suu and Aravan districts, who are suspected of extortion.
According to information from the committee, as a result of operational-search activities aimed at combating corruption in the law enforcement agencies of Kyrgyzstan, the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) of the Kyrgyz Republic identified that the investigator of the Nariman village Internal Affairs Department from the Kara-Suu district, police captain O.G.O., extorted 3,000 US dollars.
It was revealed that, using his official position, O.G.O. attempted to obtain money from K.u.O., against whom a case of fraud had previously been opened in December 2024, and for which the investigator had already decided to terminate the investigation.
It is worth noting that police captain S.N.S., an investigator from the Aravan district, acted as an intermediary in this scheme.
During joint actions with the State Security Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, O.G.O. and S.N.S. were caught red-handed while receiving 1,600 US dollars, after which they were placed in custody in the GKNB pre-trial detention center in accordance with articles 96 and 97 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
