In Bishkek, the State National Security Committee (GKNB) in collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) has initiated an investigation into the abuse of power involving violence by police officers of the Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs.
According to the State National Security Committee, it has been established that the district police officers of the Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs, after detaining a citizen L.T.D. on charges of petty hooliganism and bringing him to the Internal Affairs Office No. 2, beat him without any justification, demonstrating their power and strength.
The detainee, who sustained bodily injuries, was immediately hospitalized in the National Hospital by an ambulance team, where he was prescribed inpatient treatment.
An expert conclusion confirmed the presence of bodily injuries in the victim, including a closed traumatic brain injury with a concussion, as well as a closed spinal cord injury with fractures of the transverse processes of two vertebrae, and bruises of the soft tissues of the face and lower back.
As a result, junior lieutenant of police R. u M. was detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
