In the Sverdlovsk district of the capital, local police detained suspects in a fraud case, one victim of which was a woman who lost over 11 million soms. The press service of the Sverdlovsk police department reported this incident.

On February 20, L.K. approached the district police department, stating that from February 16 to 19, she received calls via the WhatsApp messenger from individuals claiming to be employees of the State Committee for National Security, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The fraudsters, using the pretext of "checking" and "ensuring the safety of funds," misled her, resulting in her transferring a total of 11 million 275 thousand soms to them.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 209 "Fraud" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. During operational activities, three individuals were detained: T.K. (born in 2007), A.M. (born in 2006), and A.K. (born in 2003), who acted as so-called droppers.

The suspects have been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police Department. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to identify other possible participants in this scheme.
