A man suspected of extorting a significant amount of money was detained in Bishkek, according to information provided by the press service of the capital's Main Internal Affairs Directorate.
A woman named Z.S. filed a complaint with the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Pervomaisky District, requesting action against citizen A.I.
After Z.S.'s husband was detained by the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), A.I. began to threaten her, hinting at possible negative consequences for her spouse. He demanded $50,000 for his "silence."
As a result, a criminal case was initiated under Article 208 "Extortion" of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
Shortly thereafter, the suspect was detained while attempting to receive $30,000.
At the moment, the detainee has been placed in a temporary detention facility at the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek, and investigative actions are ongoing.
