The State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgyzstan has identified the activities of T.M.Sh., who was a member of the international terrorist group "Islamic State."
According to the SCNS, the detainee lived in the Aravan district of the Osh region, where he actively spread terrorist ideology among the local population, calling for the overthrow of the current constitutional order and the establishment of a theocratic state called "Caliphate."
He was also involved in recruiting citizens to participate in combat operations in the Middle East and planned to carry out terrorist acts on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
As a result of counter-terrorism operations, the suspect was detained in Istanbul. On March 16, 2026, he was extradited by SCNS officers to the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, where the investigation is currently ongoing.
