Rumors have begun to circulate on social media, especially on WhatsApp, that a child has died in Bishkek as a result of a traffic accident. The capital's police department has denied these reports.
According to information from the police, the incident occurred on March 22, 2026, at the intersection of Frunze and Kahovskaya streets. Driver O.Zh.M., born in 1985, hit the minor K.u.A., born in 2010, while he was crossing the pedestrian crossing.
The injured child was urgently hospitalized at Children's Hospital No. 3, where he received the necessary medical assistance. Doctors diagnosed him with serious injuries, including a closed fracture of the shoulder. The child is under medical supervision.
According to medical staff, the child's condition is stable, he survived, and his parents are by his side.
The police department urged the public not to trust unverified information and to rely solely on official sources, as well as to refrain from spreading rumors.
