According to information presented by the Minister of Natural Resources Alexander Kozlov at a meeting of the intergovernmental commission of Russia and North Korea, the Russian language will be introduced into the educational program of North Korean schools starting from the fourth grade. This was reported by TASS.

Kozlov noted that the Russian language holds one of the leading positions among foreign languages in North Korea, and currently about 600 students are studying it.

He also emphasized that in Russia, more than three thousand schoolchildren study the Korean language, usually as a second or third foreign language, which indicates mutual interest between the two countries.
