The Kyrgyzstan national football team (U-23) is preparing for the 2026 Asian Cup and has already announced an expanded squad of 24 players, including goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards.
Team training camps are taking place from December 2 to 16 in Antalya (Turkey). After their completion, the players will return home for a short rest, and then continue their preparation in Ajman (UAE) starting December 20. The head coach of the team is Edmar Lacerda.
As part of the preparation, friendly matches are scheduled, which will allow the coaching staff to assess the players' physical condition and determine the final squad for the tournament.
The U-23 Asian Cup will take place from January 6 to 24, 2026, and the Kyrgyzstan national team will be in Group "A" along with the teams from Vietnam, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. The Football Federation is focusing on young talents, aiming to create a competitive team on the international stage.
