The Kyrgyzstan Rugby-7 Team Debuted at the Asian Championship

In Oman, from October 25 to 27, the Asian Rugby Sevens Championship took place, where the Kyrgyzstan national team participated for the first time. A total of 13 teams competed in the tournament.

In the group stage, the Kyrgyz team found themselves in Group B, where they faced teams from Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately, they lost both matches: to Kazakhstan with a score of 0:44 and to Saudi Arabia with a score of 0:22.

In the Challenge group, the team first lost to Lebanon with a score of 0:40. However, the Kyrgyz team achieved a historic victory by defeating Palestine 12:7. Nevertheless, in the subsequent matches, they suffered defeats again, this time against Iraq (0:36) and Oman (0:19).

The national team consisted of: Erlan Tashmamatov, Aziz Kochmanbetov, Bek Kaldar uulu, Shumkarbek Oken uulu, Adil Chynybekov, Tamirlan Ismailov, Artem Kuznetsov, Arlen Maksatov, Ilgiz Dooletbay uulu, and Daniil Kavryshkin.

This debut experience for the Kyrgyzstan national team was a significant step in the development of rugby in the country and demonstrated the team's potential on the international stage.
