The plot of the comedy unfolds on New Year's Eve, when accountant Henry Perkins finds a lost briefcase containing a substantial amount — 1 million 750 thousand pounds. He decides to use this stroke of luck to escape with his wife to Barcelona and start anew. However, friends arrive for the New Year's dinner, making it quite difficult to get rid of them. Moreover, it soon becomes known that the found money belongs to a criminal element who intends to reclaim his property at any cost.
