The new mural features Aitmatov's famous quote: "Art is the eternal tale of man about man."
Previously, there was a stained glass panel on this wall, which was installed in 1974 at the northern entrance of the theater. However, on September 5, the theater's technical council decided to dismantle it.
The reason for the decision was cracks in the glass, damage to the frame, and faulty wiring. The Ministry of Culture emphasized that the new panel will be dedicated to Chinghiz Aitmatov, in whose honor the theater is named.
