The international forum "Aitmatov Readings - 2025" will be held in Bishkek.

From November 26 to 27, the International Scientific and Practical Forum "Aitmatov Readings – 2025" will take place in Bishkek, as reported by the press service of KRSU.

Researchers and educators from the field of humanities representing Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and other CIS countries will participate in this event.

On November 26, at KRSU named after B. Yeltsin, the plenary session will discuss the influence of Chyngyz Aitmatov's work on the formation of cultural unity among the Commonwealth countries, as well as the role of universities in the development of the humanities.

There will also be presentations by renowned experts in literature, cultural studies, linguistics, and history.

After the plenary session, the main scientific sections of the forum will begin, covering the most important aspects of Aitmatov studies:

- mythopoetics and the nature of Aitmatov's artistic world;

- interpretations of his work in the context of world culture;

- linguocultural studies;

- integration of Aitmatov's works into the curricula and educational practices of CIS countries;

- works by young scholars and student initiatives.

On November 27, the forum will continue at KNU named after J. Balasagyn, where public lectures, creative meetings, the final of the artistic reading competition "Reading Aitmatov in the Languages of the World," and a student quiz will take place.
