On November 14, the first meeting of the Children's Council, established under the Commission of Commissioners for Children's Rights (ombudsmen) of the CIS countries, took place in Minsk, with the participation of children.

As reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, the initiative to create the Children's Council was announced in the summer of 2025 in Bishkek at the fifth meeting of the commissioners for children's rights.
The council includes representatives from each CIS state — two children from each country.
The Kyrgyz Republic is represented by Ademi Saipova, a 10th-grade student at Gymnasium No. 24 named after Aaly Tokombaev, and Nurel Oruntaev, a 10th-grade student at Gymnasium No. 33 named after Kemel Tokaev.

The agenda for the first meeting included children's speeches on the topic "On the Implementation of the Child's Right to Active Participation in Society. Experience of CIS States."

During the meeting, the work plan of the Children's Council for 2025–2027 was approved, and a decision was made to hold the second meeting of the council in the fall of 2025 in Kazakhstan.

After the official part of the event, a concert was organized for the children at the National Center for Artistic Creativity and Youth in Minsk, as well as a tour of the Museum of the Great Patriotic War.
