FROM THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PISHPEK DISTRICT SOVIET OF WORKERS, PEASANTS, AND RED ARMY DEPUTIES (SOVDEP) ON FOOD ISSUES


Pishpek, April 11, 1918

§ 5. The report from the Pishpek City Administration (food department) dated April 9 and the note from the city administration regarding the issuance of grain for seeding to 22 families of citizens residing in Pishpek was heard. The executive committee resolved by a majority vote, with one abstention: To propose to the district food administration to issue grain for seeding to the applicants and, in the absence of it, to provide loans under the collective guarantee of the applicants...

§ 7. The report from the Pishpek City Administration dated April 10 of this year and the Pishpek City Food Administration regarding the provision of 500 poods of bread for the sustenance of needy citizens was heard.

After thoroughly discussing this issue and considering the difficult situation in terms of finding a way to provide the requested bread to the administration, which at the moment cannot be obtained even through requisition, and according to the statement of the chairman of the administration, citizen Matveev, bread can be delivered to Pishpek from Akmolinsk in 12 days and from Przhevalsk in 20 days, the executive committee resolved by a majority, with one abstention: To borrow 500 poods of flour from the Pishpek food store, which the administration is obliged to return in the same quantity upon receiving bread from Przhevalsk or Akmolinsk, depending on which source provides the bread first. To obligate the Pishpek Union "Dungan Peasant" to immediately and no later than within 7 days deliver 700 poods of rice, accounting for 100 poods per day, to the administration. Furthermore, to send an authorized person from the committee to the village of Nikolaevsk to purchase rice at a payment of 20 rubles, instructing the Tokmak committee not to create any obstacles to the free delivery of rice to Pishpek, delegating Council member Pugachev.

№36 FROM THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PISHPEK DISTRICT SOVIET ON THE RELEASE OF FLOUR FOR THE CHILDREN'S ORPHANAGE
Pishpek, April 13, 1918

§ 2. The statement from the Pishpek Children's Orphanage regarding the release of flour for the sustenance of children and an advance of 10,000 rubles for the purchase of food products was heard, and it was unanimously resolved: 1) to release 50 poods of flour from the Pishpek supply store with the condition that it be returned immediately upon supplying the orphanage through requisition in the district, and 2) to release an advance for the delivery of essential food products in the amount of 500 rubles, for which the Council is to present supporting documents.
