Report on the State of Healthcare in Pishpek. Document No. 55 (July 1923)

FROM THE REPORT OF THE HEAD OF THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT OF THE PISHPEK DISTRICT AT THE PLENARY SESSION OF THE PISHPEK DISTRICT EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE ON THE STATE OF HEALTHCARE IN THE DISTRICT
Pishpek, July 1, 1923.
In the city of Pishpek, there is a hospital, which is divided into a surgical department with 15 beds, a therapeutic department with 13 beds, a mixed-infectious department with 12 beds, a maternity ward with 2 beds, a children's department with 3 beds, and two outpatient clinics: a dental outpatient clinic and a general outpatient clinic.
The surgical department is staffed by: 1 doctor, 1 medical assistant, 2 nurses, and 4 orderlies. The same staff also serves the maternity ward. A total of 193 patients were treated from January 1 to June 1, with a total of 1120 patient-days. The maternity ward admitted 21 patients for 33 days.
The therapeutic department is staffed by: 1 doctor, 3 orderlies, and the same staff serves the children's department.
From January 1 to June 1, 50 patients were treated, with a total of 1025 patient-days; the children's department had 30 patients for 250 days.
The mixed department is staffed by: 1 doctor, 1 medical assistant, 1 midwife, and 3 orderlies. A total of 111 patients were treated, with a total of 480 patient-days.
The outpatient clinic is staffed by: 1 doctor, 1 medical assistant, 1 midwife, and 1 cleaner. A total of 6769 patients were treated, of which 1028 were paid, and the rest were free of charge.
The dental outpatient clinic is staffed by: 1 doctor, 1 cleaner, with a total of 243 patients treated, of which 72 were paid, and the rest were free of charge.
