FROM THE PROTOCOL OF THE MEETING OF THE EXECUTIVE BUREAU OF THE PISHPEK UGORREVKOM OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF TURKESTAN ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF A MONUMENT TO V.I. LENIN

Pishpek March 1, 1924

Heard: On the arrangement of a monument to Comrade Lenin.

Resolved: a) to recognize the construction of the monument as desirable, for which to elect a group of five for the development of the monument project to Comrade Lenin from the following comrades: from the regional committee of the Communist Party of Turkestan Comrade Piskur, from the city executive committee Comrade Gvozdenko, from the Koshchi union Comrade Rakhimdzhanov, from the trade union Comrade Afanasyev, and from the KSMT Comrade Musin, granting the aforementioned commission the right to co-opt technical personnel;

b) to instruct the commission to urgently develop a project for the construction of the monument in the form of a school or shelter, for which to prepare an estimate for the maintenance of the constructed monument and present it at the meeting of the executive bureau...

Pishpek December 22, 1924

Heard: 8.0 on city councils in the Karakirgiz autonomous region (S. Malychev).

Resolved: 8. To recognize it as necessary to form a city Council of workers, peasants, and dehkans' deputies only in the city of Pishpek, which should be serviced by the regional apparatus. In other cities, councils should not be organized.
