The forum is part of a global initiative called the Internet Governance Forum (IGF), held under the auspices of the UN. Its main goal is to explore how digital technologies can contribute to ensuring equal access to the internet and improving the quality of life for all citizens of Kyrgyzstan. The organizers include the Association of Telecommunications Operators, the Ministry of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Internet Development Organization (IDO).
The forum program includes three main sessions, each addressing key aspects of Kyrgyzstan's digital future:
- Infrastructure and Digital Accessibility. The first session will discuss the implementation of the DCASA project, the expansion of fiber-optic communication lines, and satellite internet in the country.
- Prospects and Challenges of Managing the Digital Environment Considering the New Digital Code. The second session will focus on key provisions and changes related to the adoption of the Digital Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. International experts will share experiences in internet regulation from other countries.
- Innovations and Startups in the Digital Economy. The third session will analyze the potential of the digital economy, the use of crypto-assets, and the development of fintech, digital currencies, and electronic platforms as factors for economic growth.
The forum is supported by partners such as the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the Regional Internet Registry for IP Addresses (RIPE NCC), the public fund CAPS Unlock, with MEGA Pay as the general partner.
