The first Kyrgyz-French forum dedicated to investments and cooperation in the healthcare sector took place in the capital of France, with the participation of the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Erkin Checheybaev.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Health, this event was part of the Cooperation Days between medical institutions of France and Kyrgyzstan, gathering representatives from leading businesses, research organizations, medical and technology companies, as well as investors.

The forum was opened under the leadership of the General Delegate of the French Healthcare Association, Emil Joke, who noted the growing interest of French investors in developing medical cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, including digital technologies and the pharmaceutical sector.

Checheybaev emphasized that the state is actively reforming healthcare, focusing on investments in infrastructure, digitalization, and the training of medical personnel.

He also presented modernization programs, particularly the project for constructing a new medical complex—a high-tech cluster that will unite key institutions in the country. This project includes the creation of infrastructure covering approximately 300,000 square meters with more than 3,200 beds on a territory of 100 hectares. The complex will include medical, diagnostic, educational, and research institutions that meet high environmental, energy-efficient, and comfortable standards.

The minister invited French partners to join this project, emphasizing that cooperation could involve engineering, architectural, technological, and medical aspects, as well as scientific and educational initiatives.

Checheybaev also noted Kyrgyzstan's interest in attracting foreign partners for the development of digital solutions in healthcare, the implementation of electronic systems, telemedicine, and the production of medications. He highlighted the significance of artificial intelligence in medicine, pointing out its application for diagnostics, early detection of diseases, and remote monitoring, which contributes to increasing the accessibility and efficiency of medical services.

The forum presented key areas for the development of healthcare in Kyrgyzstan, including medical insurance, the "Healthy Person—Prosperous Country" programs, the prevention of non-communicable diseases, digitalization, and strengthening human resources.
