Doctors from France will participate in the treatment of severe cases among Kyrgyz citizens. This became known after a visit by a medical delegation from Kyrgyzstan to French healthcare institutions.
As part of their trip, the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Erkin Checheybaev, and his team visited a number of leading medical institutions in Paris to study the experience in organizing specialized medical care and rehabilitation.
The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that the delegation became acquainted with the work of the Adolphe de Rothschild Foundation Hospital (Hôpital Fondation Adolphe de Rothschild, HFAR), which is one of the key European centers in neurosurgery, neurology, and ophthalmology. During the visit, the Kyrgyz learned about the emergency neurological care system, routing of stroke patients, and organization of rehabilitation after the acute phase of the disease.
As a result of the meetings, an agreement was reached to sign a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the field of emergency neurology. The parties also agreed on the exchange of experience between Kyrgyz doctors and specialists from this hospital.
Then the minister and his team visited the Georges Pompidou European Hospital (Hôpital Européen Georges-Pompidou, AP-HP) — the largest hospital in Paris, specializing in emergency care in cardiology and traumatology.
During the meeting, the possibilities for professional exchange and cooperation in the field of emergency medical care were discussed. The parties agreed to hold regular video conferences to discuss cases of severe patients, which will help strengthen ties between specialists from both countries and improve the quality of medical care in Kyrgyzstan.
These visits were part of the first Kyrgyz-French forum dedicated to investments and cooperation in healthcare, aimed at developing professional and technological ties between medical institutions in Kyrgyzstan and France.
