According to the medical institution, the purpose of the Turkish doctors' visit was not only to examine patients but also to exchange experiences with their Kyrgyz colleagues. "Recently, there has been an increase in diseases related to kidney and liver failure. Unfortunately, many patients seek help at advanced stages, which forces them to undergo organ transplant surgeries abroad — in India or Turkey. Therefore, the arrival of highly qualified specialists from Turkey is a significant event. They conducted consultations for patients, examined those who have already undergone surgeries, and shared their experience with our doctors," noted Eleonora Bapieva, head of the nephrology and hematology department of the regional hospital.
She also added that in cases of chronic kidney failure, hemodialysis is prescribed only at the fifth stage of the disease. Currently, more than 550 patients are undergoing this procedure in the department.
