In Naryn, the number of doctors who have resigned was announced
According to the department's information, the following medical institutions are currently operating in the Naryn region:
— 4 centers for primary healthcare (in Ak-Talaa, At-Bashy, Jumgal, and Kochkor),
— 1 regional family medicine center,
— 48 family doctor groups,
— 80 feldsher-obstetric points,
— 1 combined regional hospital,
— a blood transfusion center,
— a center for the control of viral hepatitis and HIV (also known as an AIDS center),
— a tuberculosis dispensary,
— a regional center for health coordination and management,
— 2 district centers for disease prevention and sanitary control (in Naryn and Kochkor districts),
— a regional bureau of forensic medical examination,
— an anti-plague station in At-Bashy.
Currently, there are 348 doctors working in the region's healthcare institutions, which is slightly more than in 2024 (347). Of this number:
- in primary healthcare centers — 173 (in 2024 — 165),
- in the regional family medicine center — 65 (in 2024 — 63),
- in district sanitary centers — 16 (in 2024 — 15),
- in the combined regional hospital — 71,
- in other regional medical institutions — 22 (in 2024 — 24),
- in the anti-plague center in At-Bashy — 1 doctor.
The level of medical staffing is 63.3%. At the same time, 64 specialists do not have medical education and hold positions intended for doctors, being graduates in biology. The staffing of medical positions is 89.5%, and the coefficient of dual employment is 1.5.
There are 12.3 doctors per 10,000 residents in the region. Additionally, there are 1,526 mid-level medical workers (in 2024 — 1,499) and 53 dentists (in 2024 — 51). However, according to the health department, there is a shortage of 143 doctors.
According to the distribution by districts, the shortage of doctors is as follows:
- Ak-Talaa — 22 doctors,
- At-Bashy — 16,
- Jumgal — 26,
- Kochkor — 25 (including 1 doctor for the state sanitary and epidemiological surveillance center),
- in the city of Naryn, there is a shortage of 53 doctors.
In the first nine months of 2025, 33 doctors resigned from the region's medical institutions (in 2024 this figure was 23), while 34 new specialists were employed (in 2024 — 21).
Currently, 31 doctors are working under the deposit training program (in 2024 — 15). As of October 1, 2025, 26 residents (in 2024 — 35) and 13 interns are undergoing internships in the region's medical institutions.
