In Kyrgyzstan, 6,574 cases of ARVI registered in a week

According to information from the Department of State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, 6,574 cases of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) were registered in Kyrgyzstan over the past week.

This is a decrease of 1.9% compared to the previous week. Of the total number of patients, 63.8% are children under the age of 14, which corresponds to 4,192 cases. Hospitalization was required for 6.7% of patients, amounting to 441 individuals.

The highest levels of morbidity exceed the average republican indicators (91.0) in the cities of Bishkek (197.7) and Osh (114.4), as well as in the Naryn (139.4), Chui (108.4), and Issyk-Kul (104.0) regions.

Epidemiological surveillance for severe acute respiratory infections (SARI) and influenza-like illnesses (ILI) continues in the cities of Bishkek, Osh, and Tokmok.

Currently, no cases of influenza have been recorded in the country. However, there is circulation of acute respiratory viral infections, among which adenoviruses account for 34.8% (8 cases), rhinoviruses — 30.4% (7 cases), parainfluenza viruses of types I–IV — 17.4% (4 cases), and other viruses also 17.4% (4 cases).

Monitoring of the COVID-19 situation is also ongoing, with no new cases reported.

As part of the fight against influenza, vaccination is being carried out in the country. A total of 63,734 doses of the "Grippol+" vaccine have been procured. Vaccinations are conducted in clinics for at-risk groups, including people with chronic diseases, frequently ill children, pregnant women, elderly individuals, and healthcare workers. Additionally, those interested can receive vaccinations at private medical centers, where the cost of the vaccine ranges from 400 to 1,000 soms.
