In a week, more than 6,500 people in Kyrgyzstan fell ill with ARVI

From October 27 to November 2, Kyrgyzstan registered 6,574 cases of acute respiratory viral infections, as reported by 24.kg citing the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance.

Compared to the previous week, the incidence decreased by 1.9 percent.

Among the infected, nearly 64 percent are children under 14 years old. Hospitals admitted 6.7 percent of the infected.
The incidence is above average in Bishkek and Osh, as well as in the Naryn, Chui, and Issyk-Kul regions.

In Bishkek, Osh, and Tokmok, epidemiological surveillance continues for severe acute respiratory infections and influenza-like illnesses.

Since the beginning of this epidemic season, no cases of the influenza virus have been identified.

Currently, there is circulation of acute respiratory viral infections, among which adenovirus, rhinovirus, and parainfluenza are predominant.

Additionally, monitoring of the COVID-19 situation continues, and no new cases of the disease were registered last week.
