The agency reported that ARVI is transmitted by airborne droplets and has a seasonal nature. Usually, the incidence increases in the fall when temperatures begin to drop. This year, the rise in cases started a bit later, at the end of October. Representatives of the Ministry of Health confirmed that the current outbreak is seasonal. In some patients, respiratory illnesses also manifest not only with cough and fever but also with gastrointestinal disorders.

The ministry also emphasized that simultaneous outbreaks of bacterial and viral infections are impossible, as one type of microorganism inhibits the reproduction of another. Hospitals across the country have stockpiled medications for treating ARVI, and the epidemiological situation is under control, which does not raise any cause for concern.

As part of the prevention efforts, the Ministry of Health recommended that parents consult family doctors at the first signs of illness in children. In September, it was noted that the incidence of acute respiratory infections in the country was 36.5% below the epidemic threshold, which also indicates that the situation is under control. At that time, the agency provided several recommendations for parents aimed at strengthening children's health and reducing the risk of illness.
