According to operational information, 64.6% of those infected are children under 14 years old, which amounts to 4,329 cases. 6.7% of the total number of infected (452 people) were hospitalized.
The highest incidence rates were noted in the cities of Bishkek (193.1), Osh (148.2), as well as in the Naryn (190.1) and Chui (103.7) regions, which exceed the national average.
Monitoring of severe acute respiratory infections and influenza-like illnesses is being conducted in Bishkek, Osh, and Tokmok. Since the beginning of the epidemic season, which started in the 40th week (from September 29 to October 5, 2025), influenza viruses have not been isolated.
Currently, there is circulation of acute respiratory viral infections, among which adenoviruses (34.8%), rhinoviruses (30.4%), and parainfluenza types I-IV (17.4%) are predominant.
To prevent severe forms of the disease, the Ministry of Health has acquired 63,734 doses of influenza vaccine, which have already been distributed to regions for vaccination. The procedure is carried out free of charge at Family Medicine Centers, primarily for at-risk groups: people with chronic diseases, frequently ill children, pregnant women, elderly people over 65, and healthcare workers.
For those who wish to be vaccinated on a paid basis, services are available at private medical centers such as "Tsadmira," "Krokha," "Malysh," "Intermedical," "Comfortmedik," and "Polyclinic 312." The cost of vaccination ranges from 400 to 1,000 soms.
In addition to vaccination, the following preventive measures should be observed:
·
When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or the inside of your elbow;
·
Avoid overcooling and overheating;
·
If you experience symptoms of illness, stay at home;
·
Follow sanitary and hygiene standards: wash your hands regularly, ventilate rooms, and conduct wet cleaning;
·
Ensure a balance of study and rest: outdoor walks, adequate sleep, and proper nutrition;
·
Engage in physical activity and morning exercises;
·
If your child is sick, do not send them to school or kindergarten until they have fully recovered and consult a doctor;
·
In crowded places, use masks and maintain social distance.
At the first signs of ARVI or influenza, it is recommended to consult your family doctor rather than self-medicate.
