In Kyrgyzstan, about 20 thousand people die from heart diseases every year
Cardiovascular diseases include conditions such as heart attacks and strokes, as well as sudden cardiac deaths.
The specialist noted that cardiovascular diseases account for 52% of the total number of diseases in the country. The Ministry of Health is actively working to reduce these figures.
Duyshenalieva emphasized that many people do not pay attention to their illnesses, as many of them are asymptomatic.
"High blood sugar does not cause pain, high cholesterol also does not hurt, smokers enjoy their habit, and unhealthy food seems tasty. Unfortunately, no one strives to engage in sports. However, prevention is a key aspect. It is encouraging that recently there has been more discussion about it, for example, about excessive salt consumption," she added.
