The head of the hypertension department at the National Center for Cardiology and Therapy named after Mirrahimov, Myskal Duyshenalieva, warned in an interview on "Birinchi Radio" about the risks associated with excessive consumption of dietary supplements.

She noted that there are many dietary supplements available on the market, which raises concerns as many people take them in large quantities instead of consuming a balanced diet. "This is not safe, as none of the supplements have undergone clinical trials for safety," the doctor emphasized.

Duyshenalieva also added that uncontrolled use of such supplements can lead to toxic damage to the liver and kidneys.

The specialist advises: "If you do not have problems with swallowing or absorption, all the necessary nutrients can be obtained from regular food. In our country, there are many accessible vitamins and healthy products available in markets. Proper nutrition can completely replace the need for dietary supplements, especially if you do not have any diseases."

Furthermore, the doctor emphasized that one should not forget about a healthy lifestyle. Smoking, fast food, and lack of physical activity can negate any beneficial effects from supplements.
