A digital ambulance dispatch service has started operating in Manas
A new digital dispatch service for emergency medical assistance has started operating in Manas, as reported by the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.
This system automates the management of emergency calls: it distributes calls among teams, tracks vehicle movements in real-time, and allows dispatchers to make quick decisions based on current data.
The digital dispatch covers Manas and the Suzak district, ensuring more efficient and coordinated delivery of emergency medical care. The system is equipped with modern computers, mobile devices, uninterruptible power supplies, and software integrated with mapping and analytical tools.
Dispatchers and paramedics undergo special training in the use of digital technologies, which significantly increases the speed of response to calls and reduces the arrival time of teams to patients, including in remote settlements.
“We strive for such initiatives not to remain at the pilot project level. The digitization of emergency assistance should be a completed process, including staff training, ongoing support, and the transfer of necessary materials to the local level. Only then can the system function effectively and benefit patients daily. The new format of the dispatch allows for quicker responses to calls and improves interaction between teams, and our goal is to spread this experience throughout the country,” noted Nurgul Adnaeva, Deputy Minister of Health of the KR.
The implementation of the project was carried out by the Ministry of Health of the KR with the support of the Kyrgyz-German project for the digitization of emergency medical assistance, which is being implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The introduction of the digital dispatch service is part of the program to modernize the emergency medical service system in Kyrgyzstan and further implement digital solutions in healthcare.
