Recently, the first Kyrgyz-French forum dedicated to investments and cooperation in the healthcare sector took place in Paris. This was reported by the press center of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to information received from the Ministry of Health, this forum became an important event within the framework of the Days of Cooperation between medical institutions in France and Kyrgyzstan. It gathered representatives from major French companies, research centers, medical and technological organizations, investors, and international structures.

The forum was opened by Émile Jockey, the general delegate of the French Healthcare association, who emphasized the growing interest from France in long-term cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in the fields of medicine, digital technologies, and pharmaceuticals.

At the event, Minister of Health Erkin Checheybaev presented key aspects of the program for updating the national healthcare system, including the implementation of the presidential decree on the establishment of a new medical complex—a modern high-tech cluster that will unite the leading medical institutions in the country.

This project involves the construction of infrastructure covering approximately 300,000 square meters with more than 3,200 beds on nearly 100 hectares. The upcoming complex will include treatment, diagnostic, educational, and research institutions that meet high standards for ecology, energy efficiency, and comfort for patients and medical staff.

The minister also invited French companies to participate in the project, noting that the opportunities for cooperation encompass engineering, architectural, technological, and medical aspects, as well as joint scientific and educational initiatives.

Checheybaev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is interested in attracting international partners for the development of digital technologies in healthcare, telemedicine, the production of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, the implementation of electronic medical systems, as well as in exchanging experiences in creating modern medical clusters.

Particular attention at the forum was given to the application of artificial intelligence in medicine, where France holds leading positions in Europe. The minister noted that technologies that recently seemed futuristic are now being used for diagnosis, early detection of diseases, remote monitoring, and improving the quality of medical care in remote areas.

It is worth noting that the new medical town will be built in the residential area of "Kok-Zhar."
