A working meeting was held at the Kyrgyz Ministry of Health, where leaders of medical institutions and healthcare coordinators from various regions gathered. The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of the readiness of the healthcare system for the upcoming elections of the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, as reported by the Ministry of Health's press service.
During the meeting, participants discussed key issues related to ensuring the uninterrupted operation of medical organizations on election days. This includes interaction with electoral commissions to clarify the lists of patients undergoing inpatient treatment, as well as the readiness of ambulance teams and medical specialists who will be on duty at polling stations and respond to emergency situations. The organization of medical points and their provision with necessary resources was also addressed.
Particular attention was paid to the need for adherence to the principle of political neutrality among healthcare workers. Medical organization leaders were reminded of the importance of refraining from any actions related to political campaigning, as well as from demonstrating preferences or participating in events that could undermine the impartiality of the healthcare system.
According to the order of the Ministry of Health, healthcare system workers are strictly prohibited from participating in any form of campaigning and electoral activities.
It was emphasized that any violations of these directives will be regarded as disciplinary offenses, which will entail responsibility, including administrative measures.
The Ministry of Health called on all leaders to ensure that employees are informed about the necessity of maintaining political neutrality and to exercise constant control over this in healthcare organizations across the country.
