Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!
We invite you to participate in the IV CENTRAL ASIAN TRADE FORUM, which will take place on October 29-30, 2014, in Almaty (Kazakhstan) at the Rixos Hotel.
The forum is held annually and gathers more than 400 participants, including entrepreneurs, representatives of government agencies, embassies, chambers of commerce and industry, associations, and international organizations from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. This year, a delegation from Latvia is expected to arrive. The forum is organized by the USAID Project for Regional Economic Cooperation.
Over the course of two days, plenary sessions and thematic sessions will be organized on the following topics:
· Trade policy: impact on the development of economic corridors in Central Asia;
· Transport and logistics, free economic zones, and business meetings;
· Economic cooperation with South Asia, business meetings;
· The state and prospects for the development of the light industry and business meetings;
· Consulting and research for exporters and business meetings;
· Prospects for the development of the pharmaceutical market in Central Asia and business meetings;
· Organic agriculture;
· Economic cooperation and business meetings with representatives from Central Asia and Latvia.
Additionally, throughout the forum, a "Trade Exhibition" will be held where participating exporters will be able to showcase their products. Booths for participation in the exhibition will be provided to exporters free of charge.
As part of the CATF, a competition for the "Best Exporter of the IV Central Asian Trade Forum" will be held. The awards ceremony will take place on October 29, 2014, during a gala dinner.
Currently, work is underway to develop the CATF website (www.catradeforum.org), where all key materials of the forum will be available for viewing, and participant registration will be open.
