A presentation of the "EXPO-2017" International Specialized Exhibition was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, which will take place in 2017 in the city of Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the presentation of "EXPO-2017" was attended by the first deputy minister of foreign affairs of Kazakhstan – commissioner of the International Specialized Exhibition "EXPO-2017" Rapil Zhoshybaev, the ambassador of Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan Beibut Isabaev, as well as staff from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and representatives of JSC "National Company 'Astana EXPO-2017'".
According to the commissioner of "EXPO – 2017", the upcoming exhibition will take place from June 10 to September 10, 2017, under the slogan "The Energy of the Future" and will highlight one of the most pressing issues concerning the global community – alternative energy sources. About 100 countries and international organizations are expected to participate in the exhibition. At the 2017 World Specialized Exhibition, participating countries will showcase achievements and prospects in the field of renewable energy sources and their advantages, such as environmental cleanliness, low operating costs, and safety for the environment.
In turn, the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, Marat Sharshkeyev, expressed gratitude to the guests for the invitation to participate in such a large-scale and significant event. He noted that Kyrgyzstan has been a regular participant in World Exhibitions for many years, and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic entrusts this responsible mission to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic. The president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic also reported that active work is currently underway to prepare the country’s participation in the World Exhibition "EXPO – 2015" in Milan.
