Moon and Stars
The stars in the sky argued about which of them shone the brightest. It turned out that their argument would never end - each star spoke only of itself. Suddenly, from behind a dark cloud, the moon peeked out and illuminated the night sky and the earth with its soft light. At its appearance, all the stars respectfully fell silent.
Since then, the Kyrgyz have had a saying: “Toksan jıldız birigip tolup turğan ay bolboyt.”
