From December 19 to 25, 2023, the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Cup will be held in the capital of the Maldives — the city of Male — where the women's national team of Kyrgyzstan will represent their country.
Before departing for the international competition, on December 15, the director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kazybek Moldazhiyev, met with the volleyball players. During the meeting, he expressed hope for the team's successful performances and urged the athletes to proudly represent Kyrgyzstan while defending the honor of the country.
The delegation representing Kyrgyzstan consists of 14 players, 3 coaches, and one referee.
The CAVA tournament will feature national teams from five countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan, the Maldives, and Turkmenistan.
