According to him, the provisions of the law regarding the registration of deputies and voting using an electronic system with fingerprint or facial recognition features were supposed to come into effect on January 1, 2026.
Azigaliev highlighted several key issues that arose during the implementation of the project, including:
- the actions of contractors and partners;
- significant delays in the delivery of equipment (third batch);
- insufficient readiness of the software;
- the lack of a platform for its deployment.
- the acquisition, installation, and configuration of server equipment;
- the completion of software development, testing, and deployment;
- ensuring stable and error-free operation of the system before it becomes mandatory for the parliament.
Azigaliev believes that increasing the maximum number of committee members from one deputy group to four is quite justified and aligns with the goals of effectively organizing the work of the parliament.
