According to Turgunbek uulu, the structure of the new convocation's work will be organized in such a way that the discussion of legislative proposals will primarily take place in committees, while at plenary sessions, deputies will only vote. The Speaker emphasized the necessity of active participation by deputies in the work of the committees.
He also noted that the upcoming week will be extremely important.
“Next week we will discuss many issues. Since the Jogorku Kenesh has not held plenary sessions and committee meetings due to the elections, we have a lot of significant legislative proposals to consider. Some of them require adoption in three readings, and we also need to approve the republican budget for 2026. Therefore, I ask you not to plan other events for next week and to actively participate in the work of the committees and plenary sessions,” he warned.
Furthermore, the Speaker emphasized that measures will be taken against deputies who are absent without a valid reason.
“We will reduce the salaries of deputies who do not come to work. Voters have entrusted you to represent their interests and solve problems. If you do not actively participate in the work, we will publish your names in the media so that voters know who among the deputies is absent without reason,” he added.
