The parliamentarian emphasized that citizens are actively following the broadcasts of the meetings of the Jogorku Kenesh.
“When people see this, they may ask the question: did we elect them to fight for seats? We made many promises to the people, and now our task is to fulfill them,” he noted.
He urged his colleagues not to delve into discussions about the elections of deputy committee chairs, but to focus on voting to avoid comments that could upset the viewers of the broadcasts.
Earlier, a conflict arose between Speaker Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu and Elvira Surabaldiyeva regarding the elections. Surabaldiyeva suggested simply appointing deputies, as was done with the speaker.
