The early elections for the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh became an event in which the mayor of Osh, Jenishbek Toktorbaev, participated. He voted remotely at polling station No. 5283, as reported by the press service of the mayor's office.

Toktorbaev urged the city's residents to actively participate in the elections and not to remain indifferent to the fate of the country. He noted that all necessary conditions have been created to ensure the transparency and openness of the current elections.

“The situation has changed, and bribery or transporting voters has become impossible. If anyone notices cars involved in transporting voters, be sure to report this to the police! Citizens must have the opportunity to choose their candidates independently,” the mayor stated while communicating with the chairman of the electoral commission.

In an interview with journalists, he added that civil servants and employees of budget organizations, including kindergarten directors and teachers, do not participate in campaigning activities. “Honest and transparent elections are our priority,” Toktorbaev emphasized.

There are 105 polling stations operating in Osh.

It is also worth noting that, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, nine criminal cases have been initiated in connection with vote buying in the elections for the Jogorku Kenesh.

Voting began today at 8:00 AM Bishkek time. There are 2,492 polling stations open in the country, with another 100 operating abroad.

The voting process will continue until 8:00 PM. Preliminary results will be known immediately after its completion.

The official results of the elections will be available by December 14.
