A monitoring of the ecological situation in the region has been initiated
Work has begun on the territory of the sanitary landfill in Bishkek to assess the impact of the waste processing plant on the ecosystem. This was reported by the Department of Environmental Monitoring of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On January 19, 2026, experts conducted sampling of industrial emissions at the plant located at the Bishkek sanitary landfill.
The main objective of this research is to analyze the impact of the enterprise on the environment.
The monitoring includes laboratory analyses to determine the levels of nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, and suspended particles (dust).
For a more in-depth analysis, monitoring was conducted in the nearby area on January 16, 2026: additional samples of atmospheric air, soil, and water from the Ala-Archa reservoir were collected.
To prevent possible negative impacts on the ecological situation, regular monitoring is planned to be carried out on a monthly basis.
