During the opening of the new sports complex "Zhashtyk Arena," the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, instructed Mayor Aibek Junushaliev to undertake the reconstruction of the Sports Palace in Bishkek.
As the mayor noted, a working group has been established to discuss the concept of the upcoming changes.
According to Aibek Junushaliev, the renovation of the Sports Palace will be carried out by the city administration. The historical appearance of the building will be preserved. The modernization will be done in accordance with modern standards, similar to the "Zhashtyk Arena," with an emphasis on multifunctionality.
Particular attention is being paid to the swimming pool, which will be preserved and brought in line with current regulations. After the reconstruction is completed, the Sports Palace will become a convenient and accessible place for both professional athletes and city residents.
