Waiting time at the checkpoint will be reduced to 15 minutes
By the end of 2029, the automobile checkpoint "Bedel," located on the border between Kyrgyzstan and China, is expected to operate around the clock. This decision is included in the strategic plan of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, which is set to last until 2030.
With the introduction of the new operating schedule, the throughput of the checkpoint is planned to exceed 1,000 trucks per day, and the processing time will be reduced to 15 minutes.
It is worth noting that the "Bedel" checkpoint is the third crossing point on the Kyrgyz-Chinese border, which began its operations in September 2024. Considering the challenging conditions of the high-altitude climate, additional infrastructure is currently being constructed to ensure the checkpoint operates year-round.
