At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva voiced a collective appeal from more than 100 residents of the Lenin District. She noted that according to the new general plan for the city of Bishkek, which is projected until 2050, the expansion of Sheraliyev Street is planned. This expansion will occur in the segment from Akhunbaeva Street to Gagarin Street and will be connected to the addition to Termechikova Street.
“Such a decision could lead to the demolition of more than 100 residential houses. Residents have approached the city hall with proposals, but unfortunately, they did not receive an adequate response. I ask the city hall to provide information on the extent of the damage and the number of houses to be demolished. Is it possible to consider the option of expanding Repina Street, leaving Sheraliyev Street unchanged?” the deputy asked.
