The press service of the Road Traffic Safety Department (UTSBD) of the Chui Regional Department of Internal Affairs reports that worsening weather conditions and snowfall have led to the intensification of snow removal operations on the Bishkek—Osh highway, including the application of a sand-salt mixture to enhance road safety.
The leadership of the Moscow district traffic safety department strongly urged drivers to adhere to traffic rules. "Since early morning, road enterprises No. 28 and No. 40 have been operating in an enhanced mode: clearing snow and applying a sand-salt mixture on the Bishkek—Kara-Balta highway. Similar work is also being carried out on the inter-village road Belyovodskoye-Tölök. In case of a delayed response to weather conditions, roads may become snow-covered, creating dangerous situations. We strongly recommend that drivers strictly follow the rules, do not exceed speed limits, and avoid driving into oncoming traffic," the inspectors added.
