
The State Agency for Personal Data Protection reports new cases of fake messages being circulated in the name of the agency's employees and management via the WhatsApp messenger.
According to the agency, these messages are not related to official activities and are sent by third parties with the intent to commit fraud.
The agency emphasizes that it does not conduct official correspondence and does not send official notifications to citizens via WhatsApp or other unofficial channels.
In this regard, the agency strongly recommends that citizens and representatives of government institutions:
- be attentive and critically evaluate such messages;
- not to divulge their personal data, documents, confirmation codes, usernames, and passwords;
- avoid clicking on suspicious links and fulfilling requests contained in these messages.
